The Role

We're seeking an experienced Leader for a Logistics Manager role overseeing our ANZ operations. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager you'll lead our end-to-end logistics operations across Australia and New Zealand. This role requires a leader who can use analytics to gain insights thereby driving continuous improvement across the network. The role will be responsible for Ocean Freight (Inbound, Export and Domestic), Rail, Air and domestic full-truckload and carton / pallet express deliveries to Customers.

  • Develop and lead the logistics team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous personal development.
  • Own and lead all logistics matters, providing strategic direction to optimize operations
  • Develop, implement, and manage both 3PL and in-house logistics strategies to meet business requirements in service, value, and cost
  • Serve as the key contact for all logistics vendors, ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, driving productivity and supplier performance
  • Review and submit reports on logistics performance and activities including logistics forecast and variance analysis
  • Own all IT logistics platforms, ensuring business continuity and maximizing operational benefits.

To be successful in this role you will have solid people management experience, have demonstrable experience in implementing quick decisions based on thorough analysis, have excellent problem-solving skills and can communicate at all levels of a global organisation.

Previous skills & experience:

  • Solid experience in supply chain or logistics management
  • Experience in LEAN logistics management and project management is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of logistics systems, e.g. TMS, FMS and ERP systems
  • Advanced expertise in the Microsoft suites including Power Query and Power BI
