We are seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapy Team Leader to drive excellence in service delivery, foster professional growth, and ensure our clinical services reflect the highest standards of quality, evidence-based practice, and exceptional patient and caregiver engagement.
Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, the Occupational Therapy Team Leader works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide advanced clinical occupational therapy services to clients. Practicing as a Senior Occupational Therapist, the OT Team Leader will ensure that practice is in accordance with the Occupational Therapy Australia association, AHPRA, Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines and SJGHC policies and guidelines.
The role is offered on a permanent part-time basis working 45.6 hours per fortnight.
The Position:
- Act as a clinical consultant for the discipline and within the specialty
- Provide clinical occupational therapy services to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.
- Demonstrate consolidated, current knowledge of research, evidence-based practice in occupational therapy and related clinical areas.
- Use of Evidence Based Practice clinical outcome measures and use of patient feedback - satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities
- Represents the profession either clinically or in relation to service development as required. Initiates and participates in working parties, committees and internal forums at a discipline and divisional level – interdisciplinary, as required.
- Demonstrate strong, current clinical knowledge and skills, facilitate regular occupational therapy team meetings and act as a role model in promoting professional values and ethics.
- Participate and coordinate in occupational therapy department weekend roster if required.
- Accepts responsibility for maintaining and strengthening own professional knowledge and expertise as well as ensuring that caregivers within the department are supported and provisioned to attend professional development opportunities that are fair and aligned to and appropriate for department and division.
You will hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA membership. In addition, you will have demonstrated advanced clinical experience in a highly specialised area of clinical practice within a healthcare setting and senior clinical position.
To succeed, you will have highly developed communication skills including written, verbal, interpersonal, facilitation and negotiation experience, demonstrated experience in the initiation, design and implementation of research and quality improvement activities and the ability to support and coordinate the specialty to ensure patient and service delivery needs are met.

- Salary: $141,104 to $146,218 per annum (pro-rata), plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent part-time position, working 46 hours per fortnight
