We are currently seeking a Graduate WHSE Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis for a 12-month contract working approximately 16 hours per week. This role is based at our Neerabup plant and offers an excellent opportunity for a recent or soon-to-be graduate to gain hands-on experience in workplace health and safety, while being mentored by experienced safety professionals.
The successful candidate will have a proactive approach, excellent organisational skills, and a keen interest in safety administration.
Your duties will include
- Recording and following up closure of corrective actions assigned in the safety database.
- Coordinating and conducting monthly safety audits and recording improvement recommendations, follow up of action closures.
- Review and recording safe system of work processes such as permit to works, isolation confirmations, controlled live entry forms.
- Entering Hazard ID's into Skytrust and assigning to relevant department to action.
- Ensuring Hazard ID stats are entered into the monthly spreadsheet for KPI's, safety committee meetings and Team leader meetings minutes.
- Uploading flash reports onto screen cloud.
- Booking GP and physiotherapy appointments and entering it into the calendar.
- Scanning and data entry.
- Ensuring the Safety Management System is kept current with all data and information
- Scheduling and coordinating site visitor inductions and visits.
- Creating safety training material and resources.
- Maintaining inventory control for safety stock items.
- Ensuring SDS validity and availability.
- Supporting ad hoc safety-related projects as required.
- Arranging calibration of equipment, new trial equipment and service providers to assist with projects.
- Collaborating with a team of experienced safety professionals to ensure compliance and best practice.
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Recent or imminent graduate in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desired Selection Criteria:
- Familiarity with safety management systems or processes (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience in Microsoft Office programs.
Essential Requirements:

- Copy of your academic transcript or qualifications.
- Current National Police Clearance or willing to obtain at own cost (essential).
- Valid Drivers Licence.
- Ability to complete a comprehensive Pre-Employment Medical, including a drug and alcohol screening with the company's provider.
