About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Marketing & Social Media Assistant to join our team at Mandurah Boat Hire. This part-time role will be based in Mandurah but work from home an option and will play a crucial part in developing and executing our digital marketing and social media strategy.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of the company's social media strategy across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Creating and curating engaging content, including photos, videos, and written posts, to build brand awareness and drive customer engagement
  • Monitoring and responding to customer enquiries and comments on social media in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborating with our team and external contractors to develop media that aligns with our digital marketing campaigns
  • Email marketing, and paid online advertising
  • Analysing and reporting on the performance of our digital marketing and social media efforts to help inform future strategy

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a marketing or social media role, bonus if within the tourism, hospitality, or leisure industry
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices for content creation and engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
  • Creative flair and an eye for design, with the ability to produce visually appealing content
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing, and online advertising
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making
