Nurse Unit Manager – Surgical Oncology Ward 6A

  • Ongoing, Full Time with a monthly accrued day off (ADO)
  • NM12 classification - $141,148.80 per annum

An exciting leadership opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Manager to join Ward 6A – Surgical Oncology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

As the NUM, you will lead a skilled and passionate nursing team in delivering world-class cancer care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures, including breast, skin and plastics, colorectal, upper GI, urology, gynaecology, sarcoma, and head and neck surgeries. This ward is known for its high acuity, complex care, and commitment to both curative and palliative surgical outcomes.

You will be pivotal in fostering a high-performing team culture underpinned by Peter Mac's core values of Excellence, Innovation, and Compassion. Working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team you will ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care in a modern 32-bed surgical unit.

This is a unique opportunity to bring your acute care and leadership experience into a specialised oncology setting, where your contributions will have a lasting impact on patients, staff, and the future of surgical nursing at Peter Mac.
