Job Details
As the Business Development Officer for Omni, you will play a key role in driving Omni's long-term growth and strategic positioning. Working within the small, corporate Business Development Cell you will support the Business Development Manager to identify, shape, and pursue opportunities that align with Omni's strategic direction.

Based in Canberra, with occasional domestic travel, you'll strengthen Omni's profile through trusted relationships across defence, government, and industry sectors, both in Australia and internationally. Internally, you'll collaborate closely with Omni's Business Divisions, Communications, Marketing, and Government Relations teams to build opportunity pipelines and contribute to the development of compelling proposals that drive commercial success.

Essential Requirements
The below key requirements are required to be demonstrated by all employees to Omni.

  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Ability to hold and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (NV2 minimum)
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills

In Addition, This Role Will Require

  • Proven experience in business development or capture management within Australian defence, national security, critical infrastructure, or aerospace sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth procurement, Defence contracting and capability lifecycle.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, International Relations, or related field.
  • Existing network within Defence and/or National Intelligence Community highly desirable.
