Role Description

The Business Development Managers responsibilities include a thorough understanding of scaffolding, sales process, CRM, generating leads, building relationships and closing deals.

The BDM will also Identify new revenue opportunities for the business and contribute to strategies to expand the business.

Key Duties

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the scaffolding industry.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the industry.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue for the scaffolding business.
  • Create and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners.
  • Research and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to create and implement campaigns to reach new customers.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events to promote the scaffolding business and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the scaffolding business is meeting the needs of its customers.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients and partners.
  • Create and manage a budget for business development activities.
  • Develop and maintain a CRM system to track and manage leads and customer interactions.
  • Continuously analyse and optimize business development strategies to improve ROI.
  • Create and manage a system for tracking and reporting on business development activities and progress.
  • Identify and evaluate potential strategic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Develop and implement a pricing strategy for the scaffolding business.
  • Continuously identify and implement new technologies or equipment to improve operations and customer service.
  • Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives and other business development staff.
  • Collaborate with other branches and departments within the company to share best practices and improve overall company performance.
  • Report regularly to the General Manager or upper management on business development progress and results.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in Business Development
  • Demonstrate understanding of decision makers in the sales team.
  • High level of Professionalism
  • Experience in Sales & operations platforms. (Estimate one, CRM, Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam, Bidconteder, Procore, Redhub, Aconnex, Buildertrend, Hammertech and etc..)
  • Thorough understanding of scaffolding access systems (Modular Scaffold, Scaffold Engineering, Hoardings/Gantry, Council Process, Aluminium Towers, RSJ Beams, Swing Stage, Mast Climbers and etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in tendering & converting projects such as: Residential, Schools, Commercial, Industrial, Highrise, Cladding removal and etc..
  • Positive & Respectful attitude
  • Demonstrates professional speaking and writing skills
  • Sales Acumen and positive energy.
