gas bottle refiller/can

We are currently seeking a casual, fit and reliable Gas Bottle Refiller/Cans & Bottles Recycling Sorter & General Hand to be a member of our retail and recycling depot in a small family based business located at Waterloo Corner. The position is a hands-on role which will require regular contact with our customers in an outdoor/undercover retail environment.

This is a casual position of approximately hours per week with the hours spread across working up to 8 hours per shift between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday and 3.5 hours on Saturday mornings between 8.30am - 12noon. Applicants are required to be flexible to cover sickness/annual leave absences at short notice.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:

• physically fit due to the nature of the duties and manual handling required

• excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service

• organised

• ability to work either in a team environment or unsupervised on occasions

Your Responsibilities include:

• Refilling of gas bottles up to 18kg (majority are 9kg)

• Sorting and counting of cans and bottles

• Sale and loading of fodder, firewood, charcoal and some landscape supplies

• General work area/yard housekeeping activities

• Daily interaction with customers and assist with enquiries as required

• Adherence to F Stephens & Son P/L safety and other policies and procedures

• Maintaining a tidy and organised work area/yard.

Licences required:

• Current Drivers Licence essential, ability to operate a manual vehicle preferred but not essential

• Fork truck licence (preferred but not essential )

• Front End Loader licence (preferred but not essential)

• Police check or willingness to complete/obtain

• Willingness to undergo a pre employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
