A busy Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice in vibrant Subiaco requires a Senior Medical Receptionist to join their friendly and supportive team

· Immediate start, 17.0 hours per week, Mondays and Tuesdays (must be available extra hours for leave cover)

Full Job Description

Our practice is seeking a Senior Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice located in Subiaco.  The rooms operate from 8am to 5pm.

Desirable Criteria:

· Previous Senior Medical Receptionist experience preferably in a specialist practice

· Self-motivation, problem solving skills and the ability to work cohesively in a small team environment essential

· Experienced using Genie Medical Software including billings, bookings, referrals and follow-up appointments

· Medical typing

· Ability to multitask

· Ability to adjust and adapt to practice requirements

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook

· Excellent customer service to patients, other providers and hospital staff as well as excellent communication skills within the office team environment

· Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds

· Maintain a high level of written and verbal communication skills. This includes a professional telephone manner and written email communications

Essential Criteria

. Ability to work in Australia

· Proof of Covid-19 vaccination

· Ability to cover full-time hours on occasion when other staff are on leave

· Demonstrated empathetic, compassionate and professional demeanour

Duties:

· Efficiently managing clinics and booking appointments

· Triage and process referrals

· Theatre bookings including liaising with hospitals and anaesthetists

· Meeting/greeting of patients

· Answering phones and making appointments

· Coordinating and managing clinic sessions

· Liaising with various pathology and radiology providers to schedule scans and follow up results prior to clinic

· Accounts - billing/receipting money, banking and the use of EFTPOS

· Scanning/entering clinical data

· Management of computerised diary

· Other duties as required as required by the Practice Manager
