Job Description
SGS is seeking an inspector with experience in the Grains industry to join the dynamic team in Perth.
Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:
- To ensure that samples are sent to the appropriate laboratory as required.
- Complete accurate reports in a timely manner to ensure all information reported is delivered as per customer time frame.
- Communicate with customers to initiate or carry out their requirements to maintain optimum customer satisfaction.
- Carry out all activities in a safety-conscious manner to ensure compliance of all SGS, customer and OHS requirements are met.
- Maintain and develop skills and qualifications needed to perform role.
- Identify services SGS can provide to clients.
- Identify potential business opportunities to SGS management.
- Inspections in relation to agricultural commodity exports and domestic trade.
- Inspections of export commodities in line with Trade Assurance Services contracts with overseas governments.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Preferred knowledge/experience within the agricultural services sector and/or export market
- Current drivers license
- General site safety awareness and training
- Computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills to all internal and external customers
- Australian Government Authorised Officer PGG3001 & BVI3001 accreditation (desired)
