About the role

This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned Investment Manager (implementation) to build a long-term career in wealth advisory, based in Sydney's CBD. You'll work closely with award-winning Senior Wealth Advisers and play an integral role in strengthening and growing client relationships.

This role manages the accurate and timely implementation of investment trades across direct equities, ETFs, wholesale managed funds, and private market investments. It requires exceptional attention to detail, and strong organisational skills. The role demands an ability to translate advice into precise execution, whilst meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.

In this role, your key responsibilities are:

Investment Trade Implementation & Portfolio Management -

• Execute investment trades across listed and unlisted investments - inline with advice documents and client strategies.
• Consider both income tax and CGT impacts, asset allocation, timing, and compliance requirements.
• Manage rebalancing strategies, model portfolio alignment, and workflow tracking.
• Liaise with your key stakeholders; Advisers, Brokers, Fund Managers and platform providers to resolve settlement or data issues.

Compliance & Record Keeping -

• Maintain accurate trade records and documentation within the compliance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with ASIC regulations and DealerGroup policies.
• Contribute to client file audits and compliance reviews.

Client & Internal Support -

• Work closely with Advisers, Paraplanners, and the Operations teams to ensure seamless implementation.
• Provide clear updates on trade status, timelines, and any execution issues affecting outcomes.

Process & Technology Improvement -

• Refine operational workflows and develop tools for accuracy and efficiency.
• Enhance system infrastructure to support scalable portfolio execution.

Business Development Support - (secondary)

• Assist the CIO and COO with scheduling and managing meetings with prospects, leads, and product providers.
• Maintain CRM updates, follow-up tracking, and weekly reports.

What You'll Need:

• RG146 certification and Diploma of Financial Planning.
• A relevant qualification in finance, mathematics, business, commerce or economics.
• Demonstrated proven record of successfully planning and managing investment transactions, ideally in an investment operations or investment management environment.
• Proficiency with investment execution in Iress (mandatory), and custodial wrap platforms (NetX360, Pershing, Macquarie Wrap, BT Panorama).
• Strong understanding of equity markets, portfolio construction, and tax-aware investing.
• Professionalism, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with internal teams and platforms.
• The successful candidate will undergo national security screening.

Preferred -

• Experience with SMSFs, super (accumulation and pensions), trusts, and company tax structures.
• Background with HNW / UHNW / wholesale clients, ESG and global markets strategies.
• Exposure to Complii or similar compliance systems.
• The role is non-client facing, and WFH is unavailable.
