Job Description

This is a senior academic leadership opportunity at Acknowledge Education, where you will shape and strengthen teaching and learning across our higher education and VET programs. Reporting to the Provost, you will drive innovation, academic quality, and compliance while supporting the growth and development of our academic staff.

The Role

As Director of Teaching & Learning, you'll lead academic initiatives, embed best practice pedagogy, and ensure the highest standards of teaching and assessment. You'll play a critical role in governance, compliance, and academic integrity, while building the capability of our academic teams and mentoring future leaders.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading teaching and learning projects, strategies, and policies across the Institute
  • Overseeing academic governance, accreditation, and risk management processes
  • Driving innovation in pedagogy, assessment, and use of Gen AI in teaching practice
  • Enhancing the scholarly activity and research capacity of academic staff
  • Managing escalated student matters and contributing to academic performance improvement

Qualifications

You will be an accomplished academic with demonstrated leadership in higher education, ideally at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You'll be a strong communicator, collaborator, and mentor, with a PhD and experience in curriculum design, governance, and academic quality.
