SAP Data Specialist - AR & Banking

Initial 12-Month Contract

Location: Parramatta - Hybrid Role

Daily Rate: $850 p/day + super

Start Date: Immediate

Are you experienced in SAP finance and purchasing modules? Do you excel at data migration, system testing, and stakeholder collaboration? We are seeking a skilled SAP Data Specialist - AR & Banking to join our team for a dynamic 12-month contract based in Parramatta.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration & Requirement Gathering:

  • Partner with team members to understand business needs, finance, and purchasing processes.
  • Gather and document data migration requirements aligned with SAP architecture and finance operations.

Financial Data Analysis & Mapping:

  • Analyze source data to ensure compliance with SAP Finance and Purchasing structures.
  • Create and validate data mapping templates for accurate data transfer.
  • Manage migration of master data, open items (AP, AR), Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, and GRIR accounts from legacy systems.
  • Troubleshoot migration issues and ensure alignment with SAP best practices.
  • Obtain stakeholder sign-off on data migration.

Testing and Validation:

  • Develop and execute test scripts to validate data integrity.
  • Perform data reconciliation activities.
  • Support pre-UAT activities, banking integration testing, and end-user UAT.
  • Document defects, coordinate triage, and facilitate retesting.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Engage with finance, accounting, and IT teams to gather requirements and define processes.
  • Provide regular project updates and escalate issues promptly.
  • Document migration processes, data mapping, and reconciliation results.

Cutover & Post-Go Live Support:

  • Participate in dress rehearsals and cutover activities.
  • Support post-go live to ensure data accuracy and system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot post-implementation issues collaboratively.

SAP Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proficiency in SAP modules: Purchasing (MM), Accounts Payable, Sales (SD), Accounts Receivable, and Banking integration setup.
  • Strong experience in data migration, testing, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve SAP finance and purchasing system issues.
