Payroll Officer

Treescape Australia is a leader in vegetation management, servicing both public and private sectors. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated Payroll Officer to join our team in Wacol.

This is a unique opportunity to not only manage payroll functions but also support the finance team in broader day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Set up new employees in the payroll system and maintain accurate personnel records.

• Review and approve timesheets, ensuring timely uploads into the payroll system.
• Prepare month-end reports including:
• Payroll Tax
• Child Support Agency deductions
• Garnishee and Union Fees
• Severance Payments
• Superannuation
• Complete year-end processes such as:
• Payroll tax reconciliations
• Issuing Payment Summaries
• Reporting Fringe Benefits
• Manage superannuation and payroll tax payments.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with UKG payroll system, SAP Business One or Oracle Cloud is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of industrial awards and agreements.
• Solid grasp of payroll legislation and compliance.
• Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism.
• Report writing experience is a plus.
