The role
As a DevOps Engineer you will ensure that developers and product teams have an effective and secure platform to deliver services to production. Our team designs and implements automated strategies to deploy, maintain, and monitor complex software systems, while collaborating across agile teams to promote DevOps best practices and infrastructure-as-code. We support development environments with a focus on performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, and drive consistency through standardised tooling.
Success in this role requires adaptability, a proactive approach, and a readiness to embrace new challenges. You'll drive outcomes aligned with MYOB's evolving business priorities and resource needs. Clear communication, knowledge sharing, and a commitment to continuous improvement are central to how we work and grow together
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Developer or DevOps Engineer in team environments, with strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Lean, Kanban, CI/CD, and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in AWS (or other public cloud platforms), cloud infrastructure management, and deploying systems at scale.
- Skilled in Linux, containerisation (Docker), infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and scripting languages like Python, Go, or Bash.
- Familiarity with cloud platform services such as virtualisation, databases, load balancing, DNS, file storage, and observability tools.
