Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, looking to step into more of a leadership role? Knox Private Hospital is looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager.

Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east.

This Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 334 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 14 bed ICU, 17 bed CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.

The largest and most established private hospital in the eastern region of Victoria, Knox Private Hospital, specialises in diagnostic, elective and emergency cardiovascular care, including open heart surgery, 24/7. Utilising the latest technology and expertise, we offer a Cardiology Centre, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more.

As an ANUM – your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
• Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
• Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
• Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
• Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
• Undertaking direct patient care, as required
• Mentoring of staff

Selection Criteria: 

• Current Registration with AHPRA  
• Working with Children check (if relevant) 
• Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
• Sound clinical knowledge 
• 3 years of clinical experience
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards 
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills 
• Positive role modelling behaviours 
• Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement " (salaries range between $51.77 and $53.51 per hour).
