About The Team
Our
Operations
team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.
The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
About The Opportunity
Carry out work allocated by the Work Group Leader to ensure the operational integrity and efficiency of the Plant and Equipment fleet on the ARTC network, safely and in accordance with documented plant maintenance procedures in a professional manner.
What do we want from you?
- Diesel, Light Vehicle Mechanic or Electrical Mechanics trade
- Experience performing maintenance, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy plant
- Computer proficiency - Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good written and oral skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Share our company value of No Harm
- Current drivers licence and proficiency in driving a manual car
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Previous rail, or trade experience
- ARTC Safeworking qualifications
- Current Rail Industry Competencies
- Track Safety Awareness qualification
- Construction industry induction (White Card)
