As a Group Activities Support Worker, you'll bring energy and empathy to support clients enjoying our Belmont Social Centre. From games and crafts to community outings and shared meals, no two days are the same. You'll help clients stay independent, connected and confident while being part of a supportive, close-knit team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting clients in daily activities that promote independence, choice, and wellbeing
- Facilitating and assisting with group social activities, outings, and community participation
- Providing person-centred care in line with individual support plans
- Observing, documenting, and reporting changes in clients' physical, mental, and social wellbeing
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and the Social Centre Coordinator
- Ensuring client rights, privacy, and dignity are always protected and respected
- Participating as a positive and reliable team member in a supportive, collaborative environment
- Maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards
About you
You're a people person through and through, compassionate, reliable and always ready to brighten someone's day. You love being hands-on, enjoy teamwork and take pride in helping others live life to the fullest. You will also have:
- Certificate III or higher in Aged Care/Individual Support or Disability
- Proven experience facilitating group activities highly desired
- Minimum 6 months experience as a Support Worker
- Great relationship building and communication skills
- Drivers License (Light Right) and ability to hold a Passenger Driver Authority
- A current WA WWCC
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
