Store Manager – FoodWorks Wagin

Are you a passionate and driven retail professional ready to lead a dynamic team in a community-focused supermarket? FoodWorks Wagin is seeking a highly motivated Store Manager to take charge of our store operations and drive success across all areas of the business.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring optimal performance in sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong retail management experience, a proactive mindset, and a genuine passion for the grocery industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Store Operations: Manage inventory, merchandising, staff scheduling, and customer service.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team. Foster a positive and productive work culture.
  • Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer experiences by resolving issues and maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Sales & Financial Management: Drive sales growth through strategic planning, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Compliance & Safety: Uphold company policies and safety standards. Maintain a clean and safe store.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee stock ordering and receiving.
  • Promotions & Marketing: Implement promotional strategies and coordinate local marketing and community engagement initiatives.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Store Manager or similar role in retail or grocery.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and financial performance.
  • Proficient in MS Office and retail systems (e.g., POS).
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Relevant qualifications in Business, Retail Management, or equivalent experience.
