The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurses (Anaesthetics/Post Anaesthetics Care Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Have advanced clinical skills and floor coordination within a multidisciplinary team
  • Liaise with Nurse Unit Manager regarding allocation of staff for development and training
  • Ability to perform in the roles of scrub/scout nurse over a range of specialities
  • Function as a resource person, role model and leader in the work unit for the portfolio area with the intent to facilitate the development of other colleagues

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent, Permanent part time hrs p.f.)
  • Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum; $ $58.30 per hour

The Robina operating suite has 5 operating theatres and 1 Endoscopy suite, providing for a range of specialties including Plastics, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery and Endoscopy Services. Pain procedures and Electroconvulsive Therapy Service.
