Clinical Facilitator

This position facilitates opportunities for learning and excellence in clinical education, workforce development and growth through coordination and delivery of best practice education services and research within our Robina and Southport Mental Health and Specialist Services.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a/several Clinical Nurse (Mental Health - Clinical Facilitator) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Provide clinical leadership, mentorship and support the Multidisciplinary Team
• Support the Mental Health Nurse Educators in promoting a culture committed to continual evidence based practice
• Support the Nurse Education Team within MHSS in providing education based programs in yearly mandatory training compliance
• Support the professional development of the various career pathway programs

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• A postgraduate qualification within Mental Health Nursing is highly desirable
• Membership of, or affiliation with the Australian College of Mental Health Nursing and the Australian Nurse Teachers Society will be well regarded
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent full time and permanent part time (one full time position and one part time position, 38 hrs P.f)
• Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum, $ $58.30 per hour

The Mental Health Education team consists of an Assistant Director of Nursing, Nurse Educators and Clinical Facilitators. The Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator) positions are aligned to specific services lines or teams within Mental Health and Specialist Services (MHSS). These roles work to develop, promote and maintain excellence in all areas of nursing across the directorate. The Mental Health Education team facilitates opportunities for learning and excellence in clinical education, workforce development and growth through coordination and delivery of best practice education services and research within the division of Mental Health Support Services and across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
