Position: Support Workers for 62 yr old lady in Cranbourne.

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Support Workers to assist our client living at home in Cranbourne.

Client has MS and there shall be X2 Support Workers filling her bookings. She is non weight bearing, has urinary catheter, cognitively aware living with supportive husband.

To follow are the bookings that are available 7 days a week ongoing

Key Responsibilities:

  • To attend showering and all grooming
  • Catheter competency with emptying bags and use of leg bags
  • Experience with hoists and slide sheets.
  • All meal prep
  • Bed making and changing linen when required
  • All household tasks to be attended to
  • Social outings via maxi taxi
  • Engaging in activities

Requirements

  • Experience with hoist
  • Ability to change catheter bags
  • Awareness of and commitment to attending a min of 3 bookings a week

What you'll need:

  • Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, Ageing Support or equivalent OR relevant experience
  • NDIS clearance
  • Minimum of one year experience in similar or care industry
  • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to your work
  • Computer literate and able to use MS Office, email, and any app based rostering systems (on smartphone)
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Manual Handling Certificate
  • Proof of COVID Vaccination
  • National Police Check or willing to obtain one
