Job Description
We are seeking a
Sales Manager – ESS (Australia)
to lead business development and sales for utility-scale and C&I energy storage projects across the Australian market. The role will focus on identifying opportunities, engaging with energy developers, EPC contractors, grid operators, and corporate energy buyers, and driving commercial negotiations through to contract closing. The candidate will be the key commercial representative for the company in Australia and will collaborate closely with the technical solutions team to tailor proposals to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the go-to-market and sales strategy for ESS in Australia
- Identify and qualify new opportunities with developers, IPPs, EPCs, utilities, and C&I clients
- Lead customer engagement, proposal presentations, and commercial negotiations
- Collaborate with the solutions engineering team to prepare technical and commercial offers
- Monitor energy market policies (e.g., NEM, grid services, FCAS) and competitive trends to support business positioning
- Build and manage long-term relationships with key accounts, channel partners, and regulatory stakeholders
- Represent the company at industry events, tenders, and high-level customer meetings across Australia
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Technology, or related discipline
- 7–10 years of sales or business development experience
in ESS, solar, grid technology, or power equipment solutions - Strong commercial network within the Australian renewable energy and grid infrastructure sector
- Experience managing long-cycle technical sales processes with
IPP, EPC, or utility clients - Solid understanding of ESS technology, system integration, and commercial contracting models
- Proven track record in closing large-scale energy infrastructure deals
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and senior client engagement skills
- Open for Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident only.
