Position Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Backend Developer, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping innovative technology solutions. About The Role

  • Lead the design and development of backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the platform.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and integrate them into the development process where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA in all backend processes and data handling.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system performance and reliability.

About the candidate

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in backend development, showcasing a deep understanding of modern web and mobile languages/frameworks such as Ruby, Python, , and Go.
  • Proven expertise in modern API design patterns, including REST, GraphQL, and JSON, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Experience in navigating complex business domains and developing customer-facing platforms, demonstrating a strong background in Software Development, System Administration, and/or DevOps.
  • A robust understanding of Big Data systems, with a working knowledge of Data Privacy practices, including GDPR and CCPA, to ensure compliance and data protection.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams of Senior Software Development Engineers (SDEs) and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle challenges efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong team collaboration expertise, promoting a cooperative and innovative work culture.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability to new tools and technologies, ensuring continuous growth and alignment with industry advancements.
