Requirements

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Finance Officer to join our team. This role is designed to provide support and relief across a range of financial duties, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Payroll Responsibilities

  • Process employee payroll accurately and on time (fortnightly, or monthly)

  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax and superannuation regulations

  • Handle employee queries

  • Prepare and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) reports with the ATO

  • Calculate and process termination payments, bonuses, and adjustments

  • Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure correct journal entries

Financial Recordkeeping

  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (accounts payable/receivable)

  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate coding of transactions

  • Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, and superannuation payments

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash

Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reports

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, SAP, or Pronto)

  • Excel skills

  • Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Fair Work requirements
