Kitchen Assistant – Casual Position

Location: LillyPilly Early Education Centre

Hours: Casual, 6 – 7 hours per day

LillyPilly Early Education Centre is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team. This role is essential in helping our busy kitchen run smoothly and assist our chef in ensuring children receive healthy and nutritious meals every day.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support our cook and educators by:

  • Assisting with food preparation, as required.
  • Washing dishes and maintaining a clean, hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Helping with general kitchen duties and organisation.
  • Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to follow directions and work as part of a team.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential, the right attitude and willingness to learn are what matters most

Applicants must hold a Working with Vulnerable Person Card (WWVP Card).

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $31.19 – $33.20 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 32.5 per week
