Play a key role in the delivery of a high-profile infrastructure project, ensuring compliance, performance, and quality across the project.

Our client is a leading government-backed organisation driving the delivery of major infrastructure projects across NSW. They are seeking an experienced Site Engineer (Surveillance) to oversee construction activities on one of the state's most significant greenfield projects.

This will be to join their team either based in Mudgee fulltime or on a DIDO (Drive in / Drive out) basis from Sydney or another location on a 5:2 basis. Could be on a contract or permanent basis as well.

In this role, you'll be responsible for monitoring the progress and performance of large-scale infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. You will maintain detailed site surveillance records, report on progress and non-conformances, and liaise closely with the client-side project delivery team to support successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have:


• Experience in construction, site management, or surveillance on major infrastructure projects


• Experience delivering large-scale greenfield infrastructure or energy projects


• Strong understanding of construction standards, policies, and codes of practice


• Experience working on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects (desirable)


• Knowledge of transmission or substation design principles


• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills


• Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations


• Professional accreditation (e.g., CPEng, PMP) highly regarded

Key Responsibilities include:


• Monitor progress and performance of construction works and identify non-conformances


• Maintain detailed site surveillance records including daily reports, photos, and as-constructed drawings


• Support client-side responses to correspondence and manage time-sensitive deliverables


• Facilitate or support site visits from internal and external stakeholders


• Contribute to the successful delivery of a flagship infrastructure program
