Operating across South Australia we pride ourselves on our accessibility and ability to tailor our services to individuals from a range of pathways including Medicare, private and NDIS. Our team blends evidence-based practice with trauma-informed and holistic approaches across psychology, OT, PBS physiotherapy, dietetics and speech pathology disciplines.
We are now expanding our services and are excited to offer a newly created opportunity for either a senior or team leader level Speech Pathologist. This position will be based at our Seacliff or Salisbury clinics and will play an integral role in building the Speech pathology services at Conscious Healthcare SA.
The Position:
- Collaborate with our allied health professional team to support our adult, adolescent and child participants in experiencing greater levels of confidence, independence and joy in their lives.
- Support participants to achieve goals through assessments, tailored therapy plans, and evidence-based interventions in a variety of settings (clinic, home, school, workplace, community) within Greater Adelaide.
- Provide competent and safe supports to participants with dysphagia, including effective risk management.
- Prepare and maintain Service Agreements, Treatment Plans, and therapy strategies in line with best practice and compliance requirements.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to peers, students, and team members to foster professional growth.
- Manage complex and sensitive cases, applying clinical expertise to assess needs, address daily living impacts, and recommend early interventions.
- Contribute to organisational growth and improvement by supporting revenue-generating activities and identifying leading practices in disability support.
Requirements:
- Speech Pathology qualified with 3+ years of postgraduate clinical experience
- Extensive knowledge of disability, mental health, and developmental conditions, and their impact on communication and daily functioning
- Advanced evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including mentoring and supervision of junior staff
- Proficiency with IT systems and digital service delivery platforms, including telehealth
- Current AHPRA registration in Speech Pathology
- Valid Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance
