About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Gardener to join the dynamic team at Newcastle Maintenance Group. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the visual appeal of various commercial and residential properties across the Newcastle region. This full-time role offers the chance to work in a friendly, fast-paced environment while contributing to the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out regular garden maintenance
  • Planting and caring for a variety of shrubs, flowers, and other plants
  • Applying fertilisers, mulch, and other soil amendments to promote plant health

Reporting on the condition of the gardens and making recommendations for improvements
- Ensuring all gardening equipment is well-maintained and used safely
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Gardener or Landscape Maintenance Technician
  • Knowledge of horticultural practices and plant care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the physical demands of the role
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
