About the Role

Coastal Supports WA is seeking a compassionate and reliable Female Support Worker to join our team for a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) home in Spearwood.

The successful candidate will be supporting a female participant living with a Spinal Cord Injury, providing person-centred, respectful, and professional care in a stable and supportive home environment.

You'll be part of a dedicated team that values consistency, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the independence and quality of life of the people we support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and daily living support
  • Assist with hoist transfers and other mobility equipment (training provided if required)
  • Support the participant to maintain independence and dignity
  • Follow care plans, support strategies, and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate shift notes and documentation in ShiftCare
  • Communicate effectively with the participant, family members, and the Coastal team
  • Uphold Coastal Supports WA's values of respect, consistency, and compassion

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience supporting individuals with high physical needs or spinal cord injury (preferred)

Confidence in manual handling and using hoists

A calm, professional, and reliable approach to care

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to person-centred and trauma-informed practice

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Driver's Licence and Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • Australian working rights
