Position: Sales and Marketing Officer

Full Time Role

Job Overview

This is an ideal role for those who want to develop with our business, the renewable energy industry, and not be pigeon-holed into a narrow focus. This is not a smile and dial position. You will play a pivotal role in supporting client acquisition, system design, sales fulfilment, and marketing activity. We view this as a long-term position where training will be ongoing. There will be abundant scope to increase your levels of skills and responsibility.

Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Lead this is long-term opportunity suited to someone who is proactive, willing to learn, and interested in growing with a business committed to ethical, forward-thinking energy solutions.

Australis Solar

Australis Solar specialises in the production and storage of Renewable Energy. We design, sell and install residential and commercial solar & battery systems. We are an expanding small business that is seeking a dynamic and hard-working team member who is looking for a career in renewable energy.

Australis Solar conducts its business in an ethical and honest manner. We supply quality custom designed renewable energy solutions tailored to client's needs. Our business model is to use quality solar products to achieve the highest possible efficiency for solar energy and battery storage systems. We do not use paid advertising or high-pressure sales tactics.

Reports To

Sales & Marketing Lead

Location

Osborne Park.

Hours

· 38 hours per week. Generally, 7.30am until 3.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

· This is a full-time position with some flexibility in daily hours.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responding to sales enquiries and setting up digital job folder

• Engaging with customers in the designing & selling of Solar PV and Battery storage systems

• Gain an understanding of Solar Power, Battery Storage, and EV charging products.

• Understand and assist the process of job flows and scheduling.

• Manage Client Documentation.

• Using software platforms such as ServiceM8, Microsoft Excel, and Xero for task and workflow management.

• Gain an understanding of the following software: Nearmap, Solar Industry design software, Canva & MetaBusiness Suite.

• Submit applications to Distributors and Electricity Retailers for connection and other required work.

• Assist in marketing campaigns, social media development and offerings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Educational Qualification- Year 12 WACE or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

• Solar Industry experience is desirable but not essential.

Skills

• Strong computing skills, i.e. Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel & Word)

• Familiarity or willingness to learn AI tools such as ChatGPT and Co-Pilot

• Strong organisational skills and Excellent time management skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to identify problems and initiate improvement.

• Ability to complete tasks to meet deadlines, ensuring it is completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
