Repair Team Leader – Refrigerated Truck Body Repairs

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Repair Team Leader to oversee refrigerated truck body repairs at our Greystanes Depot. You'll lead a skilled team to deliver top-quality repairs, maintain workshop standards, and ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Repair Team.
  • Manage repair workflow, allocate jobs, and ensure timely, high-quality results.
  • Provide hands-on support with truck body and panel repairs when required.
  • Prepare repair quotes and liaise with internal teams and customers.
  • Conduct stocktakes and help maintain accurate workshop inventory.
  • Uphold and promote workplace safety and compliance.
  • Mentor and train team members, building a positive, high-performing culture.
  • Collaborate with operations and customers to deliver outstanding service.
  • Ensure workshop tools and equipment are properly maintained.
About You
  • Trade qualification in panel beating, body building, or fabrication (essential).
  • Experience in refrigerated truck body, trailer, or commercial vehicle repair.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with a "lead by example" mindset.
  • Experience with quoting and stocktake processes (advantageous).
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn internal systems.
