About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to take
technical ownership
across a range of complex projects. This role requires a professional who is committed to finding the
optimal technical solutions
, delivering
high-quality outputs
, and contributing proactively within a small, project-based engineering environment.

C++ development expertise
along with complementary skills across user interfaces, networking, and databases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of technical solutions, ensuring robust design and quality implementation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using
    C++
    .
  • Develop and deploy Windows-based applications, with potential extension into Linux environments.
  • Contribute to user interface design and implementation (Qt framework).
  • Build and maintain distributed applications over Ethernet networks.
  • Implement and manage database integrations (SQL).
  • Develop and optimise multi-threaded applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a small, project-driven setting.
  • Contribute to simulation and test frameworks (Python).
  • Apply modern software development practices including Git version control, Jira issue tracking, and Confluence documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong C++ design and implementation skills.
  • Experience in Windows application programming and deployment.
  • User interface design and implementation experience (preferably Qt).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, particularly distributed applications over Ethernet.
  • Database (SQL) experience.
  • Experience developing and optimising multi-threaded applications.
  • Proficiency with development tools and technologies including:
  • Visual Studio / VS Code
  • Git
  • Jira & Confluence
  • Python (simulation/test frameworks)

Desirable (Advantageous) Skills

  • Experience with
    C++20
    features and modern development practices.
  • Application programming and deployment in
    Linux
    environments.
