The School

The Role
Kinross College are ideally seeking a dynamic and passionate Information Computer Science Teacher to join our team, teaching students from Years 7 to 12 in alignment with the Western Australian Curriculum for Computer Science. This role would involve inspiring and equipping students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-evolving world of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science and digital technologies across Years 7-12, focusing on programming, data management, networking, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
- Develop engaging and innovative lesson plans aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
- Instruct students in software and hardware management, data compression, and the separation of content and presentation data.
- Guide students in acquiring, storing, and validating data, with an emphasis on privacy and security.
- Teach students to design, implement, and validate algorithms and interactive solutions using programming environments.
- Foster an understanding of the social, legal, and ethical implications of digital technologies.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Experience in teaching programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and network systems.
- Familiarity with privacy and cybersecurity practices.
- Strong understanding of digital solutions, data analysis, and interactive systems.
- Formative assessment and data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes.
- Build respectful and productive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Differentiate instruction to support individualised learning and extension.
- Integrate technology effectively into teaching practices; familiarity with Compass is desirable.
