ABOUT THE POSITION

Job Title: Computer Network and Systems Engineer
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $78,000 plus superannuation
Location: Perth, WA 6000

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Design, configure, and maintain computer networks, servers, and system software.
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking problems.
• Implement and manage cybersecurity measures including firewalls, VPNs, and data protection strategies.
• Conduct system upgrades, patching, and ongoing maintenance.
• Provide advice on technology improvements, cloud migration, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Prepare documentation, network diagrams, and provide training/support to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in network/system engineering.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VPNs).
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and server administration.
• Familiarity with virtualization, cloud platforms, and data recovery methods.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects.
