Diesel Fitter Mechanic

About the role

The role is to form part of the workshop team in our Biloela Branch. You will provide support by ensuring the prompt service, repair and maintenance of our own equipment in the workshop.

  • Scheduled Maintenance on a wide variety of equipment including but not limited to earthmoving, EWP's, material lifting, generators, compaction, compressors, lighting plant, pumps, welding equipment and small diesel / electric plant + much more
  • Equipment diagnosis & repair
  • On Site breakdown service
  • On Call Service

To Succeed

To succeed in this role the main attributes we are looking for are energy and a willingness to help the customer and help your team mates. In addition to this the following items are also considered:

  • Proven mechanical troubleshooting acumen
  • Mechanical trade qualification Cert III or equivalent in a mechanical trade
  • Upbeat nature and willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • Excellent level of customer service
  • Proven experience on industrial equipment with both diesel and petrol engines
  • Adopt and comply with a high level of safe work culture within our company
  • Forklift licence advantageous but not mandatory
  • Current drivers licence
  • Experience with compaction and earthmoving equipment from 0-25 ton desirable but not mandatory
  • Experience with EWP'S & Forklifts desirable
  • Excellent communication skills & team spirit & strong customer focus
  • Well presented
