PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

About the role

A long-established Mailing House offering Print solutions is seeking a versatile Production Supervisor. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our mailing and print operations in Marrickville. This full-time position is responsible for leading a team of production staff to ensure we meet our quality, productivity and safety targets. You will be a key part of the operations team, working closely with the management to drive continuous improvement across our production processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team to ensure work is completed on time and to the required quality standards
  • Managing and identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions for productivity and efficiency
  • Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to the production team, motivating them to deliver the required results
  • Ensure the production facility operates in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as scheduling, print and logistics, to optimize workflow and minimise disruption
  • Monitor and co-ordinate the incoming and outgoing production materials used in daily operations and workflow

What we're looking for

  • Several years' experience in a production supervisory role, preferably within the mailing and print industries
  • Knowledge and experience of Mailing, Folding and Polly Wrapping machinery
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficient in interpreting and analysing production data to identify and resolve issues for future production planning and processes
  • Familiarity with production planning and scheduling software, as well as quality management systems
  • Knowledge and experience in maintaining a safe and productive work environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
