About the Role: We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our back-of-house team. This role supports our chefs with daily prep, service, and cleaning, helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly and to Bertas' standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout the day
  • Wash and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Help receive and unpack deliveries
  • Support the back-of-house team during service and prep
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Work as part of a small team and maintain a positive attitude

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment preferred, but not essential
  • A strong work ethic and good attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Interest in food and hospitality is a plus

Details:

  • Employment Type: Casual or full-time
  • Location: Marrickville, Sydney
  • Hours: Monday–Sunday, daytime hours between 5:30am and 5:00pm
  • Pay: In line with the Restaurant Industry Award
