About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and creative
Volunteer Web Designer
to help revamp and modernise our website,

. This is an exciting opportunity to use your technical and design expertise to improve the way families access vital resources, advocacy, and peer support.

Key Duties

  • Review the current WordPress website and recommend improvements.
  • Redesign the layout to ensure a modern, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive experience.
  • Streamline navigation so families can easily access support services, resources, and events.
  • Improve visual design while keeping our branding and mission at the heart of the site.
  • Provide basic training or documentation for our volunteer team to manage ongoing updates.
  • Ensure accessibility and best practices in design, security, and performance.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience designing and updating websites, particularly with
    WordPress
    .
  • Knowledge of web design principles, including usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Familiarity with plugins, themes, and content management in WordPress.
  • Strong attention to detail and creative flair for visual design.
  • Ability to work independently, with clear communication via email or Zoom check-ins.

About ARTFA

ARTFA (Assisted Reproductive Treatment Families Australia)
is a volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation supporting families created through assisted reproductive treatment (ART/IVF) and the donor conceived community. We provide peer support, resources, and advocacy for fairer laws and better services across Australia.

We work closely with families, health professionals, and industry stakeholders to ensure that every voice is heard. 100% volunteer-led, ARTFA is built on community, compassion, and the belief that no one should feel alone on their ART/IVF journey.
