- Grade 1 Occupational Therapist – Experienced or New Graduate

$67,849 - $82,539 pa + super, salary packaging, 5 weeks annual leave and ADOs for full time staff

About Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapy department at Austin Health is a progressive hub of patient-centred care, continuous improvement, professional growth and supportive career structures. Our focus is on wellbeing, evidence-based service improvement, sustainable workforce, and growth and development.
Our five diverse streams - Outpatients, Acute, Aged Care, Rehabilitation, and – offer endless opportunities to refine your skills and expand your horizons. We offer a multitude of rotations across services including speciality areas such as palliative care, general medicine, acute stroke unit as well as our state-wide spinal rehabilitation and acquired brain injury unit. You'll find inspiration, growth, and a sense of belonging within our team.

About the role
We are searching for experienced and graduate Occupational Therapists who are driven towards personal development, delivering excellent patient care and have an enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and fast-paced public health setting.
We offer a structured program of clinical education, training and support to transition graduates into their roles and prepare them for success in our rotations program.
A regular day will see you:
- Deliver evidence-based clinical care: Under the guidance of your team, you will provide holistic care to patients including person-centred assessments, intervention and complex discharge planning
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team: Refine your communication and team-working skills to promote positive patient outcomes
- Participate in quality supervision and training: Formal and point-of care supervision, teaching and training will routinely be offered to you by your team
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture where staff enjoy shared breaks and engaging in social and wellbeing initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement: Learn about research and quality improvement in your service area, under the guidance of a leadership team that pushes boundaries to deliver exceptional patient care.
