Commercial Property Lawyer

Kells is seeking a Commercial Property Lawyer with 2–4 years post-admission experience to join our dynamic and collaborative legal team in Wollongong.

This is a rare opportunity to work across a diverse mix of commercial property and development, state government and local government matters, with a option of litigation to keep things interesting.

About the Role

You'll be involved in:

  • Drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial leases, acquisitions, disposals, and property development matters
  • Advising local councils state government departments and public bodies on land use, planning, and infrastructure agreements
  • Supporting litigation matters related to property disputes, compulsory acquisition, and enforcement and general commercial disputes
  • Working closely with a team of experienced senior lawyers and engaging directly with clients from all across NSW and Australia and overseas

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified lawyer with 2–4 years PAE
  • Ideally with experienced in commercial property law, with exposure to local government or planning & environment work being highly desirable
  • Comfortable handling some property-related litigation
  • A clear communicator with strong drafting skills and a client-focused mindset
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment
