The Medical Radiation Science (MRS) team within the Curtin Medical School is expanding - and we are seeking a dedicated Lecturer (Radiation Therapy) to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and clinical education within the Bachelor of Science (Medical Radiation Science).

Our MRS programs are built on strong industry relationships, hands-on learning experiences, and a collaborative academic culture. This newly created role will contribute to Curtin's commitment to excellence in teaching and ensure students are well-prepared for meaningful careers in healthcare.

Your New Role

As a Lecturer in Radiation Therapy, you will:

• Lead the coordination and delivery of Radiation Therapy clinical units across all four years of the Bachelor of Science (Medical Radiation Science).
• Manage and coordinate the Radiation Therapy clinical program, including oversight of clinical practice units.
• Contribute to course and curriculum development, ensuring alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with more than 100 clinical placement sites that support student learning and development.
• Act as a role model and mentor, guiding students through their academic and clinical learning journey.

About You

Selection Criteria

You will bring a blend of clinical expertise, teaching capability, and a passion for supporting student success. Specifically, you will have:

• A doctoral qualification or 10 years' clinical experience in a relevant discipline, or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for a Teaching-Focused Clinical Professional role.
• Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning.
• A strong understanding of clinical education practices and emerging trends in radiation therapy education.
• Experience or demonstrated capacity to coordinate academic units.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and collegial teamwork.
• Alignment with Curtin's values of Integrity, Respect, Courage, Excellence and Impact.

Role Requirements

As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
