About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Operational Readiness, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, amending, and optimizing the inventory and cataloguing of fixed plant materials and equipment spares. This work forms a key part of the Operational Readiness activities for the CGP3 (Chemical Plant #3) expansion project.

Responsibilities include:

  • operate with a high degree of autonomy as the subject matter expert in inventory and cataloguing.
  • review and optimize the manufacturer equipment list, consolidate duplicate entries, and ensure accuracy.
  • identify gaps, implement improvements, and catalogue new items within existing equipment material lists.
  • assess vendor-supplied documentation and integrate relevant data into existing systems.
  • evaluate and refine MRP settings in SAP, including minimum/maximum levels and material criticality.
  • maintain and update inventory databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • conduct market research to identify cost-effective suppliers and alternative sourcing options.
  • generate inventory reports and provide actionable insights to management using computerized systems; and
  • monitor inventory turnover to minimize obsolescence and support spare parts forecasting in collaboration with maintenance and operations teams.

About the Candidate:

  • minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role managing ERP solutions.
  • prior experience with SAP, preferably S/4HANA.
  • proven background in Supply Chain and Inventory Management.
  • intermediate proficiency with Materials Cataloguing Systems.
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • understanding of inbound Supply Chain and Materials Management processes; and
  • recognized subject matter expert in cataloguing and inventory management practices.
