About the Position

Storr & Co is currently seeking a motivated junior accountant to join our team, with the traineeship starting early 2026. Our ideal candidate will have completed the Higher School Certificate in 2025 and soon commencing study towards a Bachelor of Commerce degree with the University of Newcastle.

As this is a full time position, you will be working at our firm while you study towards your degree on a part time basis.

This traineeship is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and build a long-term career in accounting. Our new junior accountant will work closely with our friendly and supportive team, gaining hands-on experience while learning key accounting procedures and concepts. They'll assist senior accountants across a variety of day to day tasks, whilst building strong working relationships and gaining valuable exposure to real-world client work and industry practices.

A snapshot of your day as you grow in this position will include the following but is not limited to;

·       Assisting the team and providing support to our senior accountants with a range of different tasks;

·       Using Microsoft office and other accounting software to complete tasks; and

·       Exposure to a diverse range of clients and industries.
