The Role:

Reporting to the Strategy & Corporate Development Manager, this role will see you contribute to high-impact strategic initiatives that shape the future of the OTR Group. You will help identify growth opportunities, evaluate emerging trends, and support strategic decision-making across new markets, products and business models.

Responsibilities:

In this dynamic and commercial role, you'll play a key part in driving strategic growth and innovation across our national footprint. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to assess opportunities, make recommendations, and support execution.

You will provide:

  • Strategic insight and input into new business opportunities, product expansions, partnerships, and entry into new markets.
  • Research and evaluation of disruptive trends, consumer behaviours, and emerging technologies to help inform long-term planning.
  • Support in building detailed commercial assessments, including business cases, investment appraisals, feasibility studies and cost–benefit analyses.
  • Preparation of clear, compelling presentations and strategic papers for senior leadership and the board, helping shape critical business decisions.
  • Maintenance of competitor intelligence and benchmarking data to support a proactive understanding of the market landscape.
  • Active contribution to shaping a high-performing strategy function – including developing frameworks, tools and best practices that enhance team effectiveness.

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Finance, Law or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years' experience in strategy, corporate development, management consulting, or a commercial role with a strong strategic focus.
  • Commercially minded with a passion for business growth, new markets and innovation
  • A natural communicator with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Proactive and curious – able to identify problems, propose solutions and take initiative.
