We are seeking interested applicants for the role of Container Forklift Driver based in the Hume depot, Canberra.

What's involved?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main purpose of the role will require the actioning of the daily in and outturns of containers for the warehouse in preparation for on road delivery, ensuring the accurate location of containers in the warehouse yard, actively participating in the storage and inventory of personnel household belongings, preparing the next day's jobs as per the scheduled run sheet ensuring that containers and required documentation is prepared, maintain a high standard of safety when handling and stacking containers & using the site traffic management plan, accurately receipting of inbound goods from suppliers and operations crews.

Who are we looking for?

Our successful applicant will demonstrate a true can-do attitude and have a keen eye for the next task. They will be motivated to maintain a well-managed warehouse area at the company and personal high standards regarding safety, operating efficiency, preparedness all whilst operating a safe workplace. They will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Valid forklift licence
  • Previous experience driving a forklift with spreader
  • Experience in household goods warehousing or a similar warehousing workplace
  • Be a highly enthusiastic & motivating individual
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail & time management skills
