Role Overview
The Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) supports the Head of Partnerships & Distribution in planning, leading and managing the sales process to achieve Think Tank's monthly loan volume targets. The SRM will manage existing, and develop new, broker and major aggregator channel relationships in Think Tank's target markets and is responsible for ensuring these target markets know and understand Think Tank's products, services and advantages. The SRM will cultivate relationships with brokers and convert lending opportunities to funded loans by identifying and recommending Think Tank products and services that meet customer's needs.
Key Accountabilities
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders (aggregators, brokers, and borrowers) by consistently delivering a high level of customer service.
- Maximise the visibility of Think Tank's and its White Label brands products by actively and positively promoting the company at events including aggregator PD days, education sessions, breakfast/lunch workshops and other meetings.
- Undertake a regular broker visitation program with a minimum 7 meetings per week to ensure brokers are aware of Think Tank products, policies and procedures.
- Deliver presentations as required at webinars, PD days and other events to promote Think Tank's brand and products.
- Manage existing, and develop new, major channel relationships in Think Tank's target markets
- Support Head of Partnerships & Distribution in the management of distribution and channel relationships
- Workshop scenarios with brokers to ensure that the proposed deal falls within ThinkTank's risk appetite and lending criteria and meets the borrower's requirements.
About You
- 3–5+ years in Commercial Lending or Business banking, ideally in a Relationship Manager, Business banker role liaising with Brokers.
- Proven experience working with mortgage brokers, aggregators, and third-party introducers.
- Strong understanding of credit policies, commercial deal structuring, and SME customer needs.
- Demonstrated success in a KPI-driven environment, including meetings, deal volume, and revenue targets.
- Strong verbal and written communication tailored to a broker audience.
- Capable of influencing and educating brokers on products, processes, and value proposition.
