You're an experienced software engineer who wants to see your work come to life in the real world. You'll develop software that powers large-scale, automated 3D metal printing solutions—combining robotics, mechatronics, and proprietary software to transform advanced manufacturing.

As part of a small, highly skilled team, you'll work closely with robotics and mechatronics engineers to build systems that seamlessly integrate hardware and software, enabling a fully automated Wire Additive Manufacturing process.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop innovative software solutions in Rust, C++ and related technologies.
  • Build reusable libraries, APIs, and scalable platforms.
  • Drive best practice in Agile, DevOps, testing and automation.
  • Collaborate with robotics and mechatronics experts to optimise automated manufacturing.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, architecture, and product roadmaps.
  • Mentor and share knowledge within the engineering team.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience delivering complex software solutions in a production environment.
  • Deep knowledge of Rust and/or C++; experience with CGAL, 3D modelling, path planning, Qt, or other UI frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, TDD, CI/CD, and modern DevOps culture.
  • Adaptive mindset with a passion for problem solving and exploring AI-assisted tooling.
  • Collaborative, hands-on engineer who thrives in a small, fast-moving team.
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Location

  • Adelaide preferred (hybrid model).
