Consultancy - Learning Partner – 's international partnership approach

We are seeking a Learning Partner to accompany Oxfam Australia's International Programs team, and other relevant Oxfam Australia staff, as we continue to evolve how we think about, negotiate, and practice international partnerships. We are open to engaging one person, or a small team, as our Learning Partner.

Specifically, our Learning Partner will:

• Accompany Oxfam Australia staff in refining a conceptual approach to international partnerships;
• Consult with Oxfam entities that partner with Oxfam Australia to explore feedback on our partnership approach and opportunities for improvement;
• Facilitate dialogue between Oxfam Australia and other Oxfam entities to support decision-making; and
• Collaborate in power-attuned ways throughout the assignment.

This consultancy will inform how Oxfam Australia evolves our international partnerships in our strategic period. We expect that learnings and outputs generated through this work will strengthen joint strategic planning and mutual accountability, and support the review and refresh of Oxfam Australia's Partnership Agreements.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential:

• Substantial exposure to international partnerships between organisations, preferably in the international development or humanitarian sector
• Ability to build trusting relationships, including when working remotely and across multiple cultural and language backgrounds
• Very strong facilitation and relationship management skills, including consensus-building, conflict transformation, and co-design with diverse stakeholders
• Track record of navigating contested or sensitive issues with clarity and kindness
• Demonstrated capabilities in managing power dynamics and applying decolonial and feminist principles in your work, including when working remotely
• Excellent analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to work with complex information to generate high-quality analysis and learning products

Desirable:

• Specific experience brokering international partnerships in the international development or humanitarian sector
• Track record of developing conceptual frameworks that guide practice

You are welcome to work in late December and January if you choose to, however there are no deliverables required during this time. Oxfam Australia's office will be closed from 25 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.
