Motor Trimmer, Upholsterer and Onsite Technician

About the role

The business is expanding and we have 3 vacancies for a full-time Motor Trimmer, a full-time Upholsterer and a full-time Onsite Service Technician based in Bundamba, Queensland.  These roles offer applicants the opportunity to apply your expertise in motor trimming and furniture upholstery and restoration.

As a skilled Upholsterer or Motor Trimmer, you will be responsible for transforming and giving new life to customer's treasured furniture, motor vehicles, boats, and caravans.

The Onsite Service Technician role does not require any previous experience as full comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate. This role will require the successful applicant to have exceptional customer service skills and a full open Queensland Driver's Licence. This role will consist of minor onsite repairs as well as picking up and delivering furniture to and from customer's premises. Occasional heavy lifting is required.

What you'll be doing

• Carefully disassembling vehicles/furniture to access the frame and interior components
• Selecting and cutting high-quality fabrics, leather, padding, and other upholstery materials
• Expertly re-upholstering vehicles boats or furniture (including sofas, chairs, and ottomans)
• Repairing and restoring damaged or worn furniture
• Automotive and Marine repairs and restoration
• Ensuring exceptional workmanship and attention to detail in all projects
• Collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a motor trimmer/upholsterer, with a strong background in trimming/furniture restoration and refurbishment
• Excellent technical skills in cutting, sewing, and applying upholstery materials
• An eye for design and an ability to work with customers to achieve their desired aesthetic
• Strong manual dexterity and the physical ability to handle and manoeuvre furniture
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and high-quality workmanship

Our business hours are 6:30am to 3:00pm from Monday to Thursday and 6:30 to 12:30pm on Fridays. Competitive rates are on offer for the right candidate and we are also open to discussions in relation to flexibility in those hours for the right candidate. Some overtime may also be available during busier periods.
